Message :-

Swami Vivekananda cherished the dream of living a life of Saint Sukhadev, who spent his life intoxicated with God. He shared the idea with his Guru Sri Ramakrishna, who changed his line of thinking. Sri Ramakrishna, gifted to the society a Saint, who would be role model not only for the sanyasis, but also as a nation builder specially to the Youth. Sri Ramakrishna uttered “Naren (Pre-Monastic name of Vivekananda) will teach the World”. Swami Vivekananda said his message will continue for the next 1500 years.
Education was his prime focus. He observed that if India wanted to stand on his own feet must focus on education. He said “Education is the panacea of all evils (obstruction)”. India was under colonial rule for long period. There was a tendency among the younger generation copying from Western Culture instead of creativity. The effect was reflecting on Country’s growth. Vivekananda gave a solution “it would be better if the people got a little technical education, so that they might find work and earn their bread, instead of dawdling about and crying for service”.
The Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Asansol with the financial support of SAIL-ISP, Burnpur has established a state-of-the-art Pvt. ITI in Asansol city commenced on August, 2019 imparting four trades viz. Electrician, Fitter, Welding & COPA. Students enrolled are more than 200. We shall try to make provision for more students. Apart from ITI trades we also run some Vocational courses with the sponsorship of SAIL-ISP, Burnpur. The courses are Tailoring, Basic Computer, Maintenance of AC, Refrigeration and Beautician.
Swami Vivekananda narrated that education must provide Life–building, Man-making, Character-making assimilation of ideas. He gave a 3H formula, growth of hand, heart & head. We also try to inculcate those ideas among the students.
